Bio

My formal training began at Nazareth College of Rochester, New York, (1966-1970). Before moving to Oregon in 1974, I taught art in Fairport, New York. In 1974-75, I earned a Masters degree in Art Education at the University of Oregon.

Currently, as a member of the Eugene-Springfield Plein Air group, I've studied watercolors and oils in more depth, while painting outside. They enable me to express my interpretations of the seasonal Oregon landscapes. Nature reveals its changing moods, hues of light, and lengthening shadows throughout the day. I try to paint not just what I see, but how I feel about it.

"Life beats down and crushes the Soul and Art reminds you that you have one."
